Kiev was 5.2 Ottawa is 5.3, the release notes for both are available.

Hi sujju,
VPLEX GeoSynchrony 5.3 (Ottawa) has the following new features: VPLEX Integrated Array Services (VIAS), IPv6 support, performance monitoring improvements, and vStorage APIs for Array Integration (VAAI) XCOPY support. Performance monitoring improvements include virtual volume statistics and the ability to monitor events and alerts from an external client.
VIAS in particular reduces the amount time to provision storage. It's discussed here:

There's a EMCU Course called "VPLEX GeoSynchrony 5.3 Technical Differences" (MR-NWP-AVPXGEOSY53: eLearning, 1 hr). I'm not sure who has permission to view it, but if you do, I highly recommend checking that out.
