Is it possible to connect ViPR nodes to more than 1 network?

Hi,

Does anybody know if it is possible/supported to connect ViPR nodes to more than 1 network.

For example if I have Windows hosts on a "production" network and my ViPR nodes, arrays, SMI-S etc on a "management" network (not routed).  could I dual connect my ViPR nodes to both the management and production networks to give me the ability to provision and mount storage to my windows hosts?

If so, is this supported and is it documented anywhere?

I guess the other way of putting this is, Must the network the ViPR nodes are initially setup on, be routed to all networks equipment it is managing is on?

Regards

It isn't planned for a future release to my knowledge.  Product Management does review these threads and can probably add it as an enhancement if there is customer interest.

Hi Andrew,

Is this fundamental to the design of ViPR? or will Multi-Homing become

available in future releases?

Stu,

We don't support multi-homing the ViPR nodes today.  Hosts that you discover in ViPR must be reachable via the ViPR nodes.  Yes, the ViPR nodes must be able to route to your other host networks if not on the same network.
