VIPR with Brocade Converged NEtwork Advisor?
Hello,
We need to manage Brocade fabrics in VIPR. I'd like to know if we really need to use the EMC Connectrix Manager Converged Network Edition (CMCNE, only available on Windows) as per the Support Matrix or can we also use the Brocade Network Advisor (also available on Linux)
The only difference I know of between both products is that CMCNE has a EMC Call Home function.
Regards
Francis

Thanks Brion, RPQ is the official way to go, but I think approval should be easy to get. I see the matrix says "SMI-S agent only installation" is also supported and I guess this agent is exactly the same in CMCNE and BNA.
Also, the VIPR SRM support matrix says that both BNA and CMCNE is supported as a SMIS provider.

Hi Francis. There are a few minor differences between CMCNE and BNA. An RPQ would be required for BNA support.
I hope this helps.
Thanks, Brion
