Can I run Spysweeper and SpyDoctor at the same time?

Recently, Spysweeper found a Con-hook trojan on my machine, but was unable to remove it. My Trend Antivirus did not find the trojan. I then bought SpyDoctor which finally removed the trojan. Should I run only one of these spyware programs at a time, or can they all be on my computer?

Spysweeper also just found a trojan - poison ivy. Should I be concerned that these trojans keep showing up?

Platform: Windows XP SP2 (WinNT 5.01.2600)
MSIE: Internet Explorer v6.00 SP2 (6.00.2900.2180)

Thx.

The only 'anti' progs you can't have more than one on a pc is av's. I've got 4. But don't scan more than 1 at a time.
Try SpywareBlaster (it doesn't scan but it prevents trojans etc) http://www.javacoolsoftware.com/spywareblaster.html

SpyDoctor has been listed as a 'rogue' program by a reputable expert here, and probably has been finding a lot of false positives (ie, trojans that are not there). I am assuming you are not actually using the legit program Spyware Doctor. I'm not aware of any reputable anti-spyware site that recommends SpyDoctor, and would suggest you not use it.

As far as using more than one antispyware scanner goes, this is okay as long as you only have one such program resident (running in the background) at any time. Use all the other scanners 'on demand' only. Otherwise you run the risk of conflicts between the programs.

A particularly good (and free) anti-trojan I use is ewido 4.0, which you can get here: http://www.ewido.net/en/download/ It is offered as a 30 day free trial, after which only the on-demand scanner still works.
