Dell Support Center
Windows Defender continually reports Dell Support Center (C:\Program Files\DellSupport Center\HWDiag\Bin\PCD5SRVC.PKMS) published by PC Doctor,Inc as:
"Software that has not yet been classified for risks"
1.Should I be concerned?
2.Is PC Doctor incorporated in Dell Support Center?
3. Why is this not classified ?
I am a fairly new PC owner and just concerned about the message
I have Windows XP SP2

Hi KeeshJ3:
1) No need to be concerned. This is legitimate software that is not yet known to MS.
2) Yes- PC Doctor is part of Dell Support Center.
3) Many programs are not yet classified by Windows Defender.
To remove this alert:
- Open WD>Tools>Options, and scroll down to "Advanced options".
- Next to the box under "Do not scan these files or locations" click on the [Add...] button and copy/paste the following into that box:
C:\Program Files\DellSupport Center\HWDiag\Bin\PCD5SRVC.PKMS
- Click on the [Save] button, and close WD.

Others were just having this same problem. I uninstalled Dell Support Center because I did not need the information in there. If you are a new pc owner, it may benefit you to keep it.
