Does anyone know how to get rid of Application.Generic.52749 ?

I'm using BitDefender and the threat has been found in:

C:\System Volume Information\_restore{46DE8921-1D39-44D2-A9E9-64119261F211}\RP563\A0048360.exe=](NSIS o)=]lzma_nsis0003

Thanks

You did not mention your operating system so I will guess. If you are using Windows XP, cleaning out your System Restore will remove the entry.

(Using XP, you must be logged in as Administrator to do this.)

Go to Start>Run and type msconfig Press enter.

When msconfig opens, click the Launch System Restore Button.

On the next page, click the System Restore Settings Link on the left.

Check the box labeled Turn Off System Restore.

Reboot. Go back in and turn System Restore ON. A new Restore Point will be created.

Rescan with BitDefender. If it finds anything else, please post a log per instructions in the announcement at the top of this forum:  Please Read This Before Posting For Malware Removal Help
