According to this website, Dell enhanced support specifically excludes virus removal:

Thanks for such a speedy reply.  I went to the website you listed and then I called Dell.  What a horrible phone system.  Getting questions like this answered before purchase is a nightmare.  Tech support explained that the enhanced support I purchased does include virus removal.  Perhaps the difference is that what I have is for home, not business.  In any  case, the techs that I will rely on are from Dell Concierge, which, in my opinion, is the best thing about Dell.

I'm unfamiliar with Dell Concierge, but I did find the following that confirms what you were told.
