rcoll,
Does the scan start and complete? or just never start? if it completes, but no log is visible, can Notepad be started from a command prompt from any path?
Mike.

Can you tell me which operating system your currently using and if there were any error messages being displayed when HiJackThis froze?
Mike.

Sorry, I can't help you there; not quite sure what would be causing that ... :(

Be sure it is unzipped to a non-temp folder (suggest C:\HJT) and that you are not trying to run it from within the .zip file.
The 015 listings are the IE 'Trusted Zone' items. It is possible you have a malformed entry there.
If all else fails, you can do the following to clear these entries:
Download the following zip file and unzip it to your desktop.
http://www.mvps.org/winhelp2002/DelDomains.inf
Right-click on the deldomains.inf file and select 'Install'
This should clear out those trusted entries that will not be removed.

Just to let you know that my HJT scan seems to 'freeze' at the 015
listings as well, and I have seen others using W98 report the same.
However, have you waited long enough? My 'freeze' usually lasts about
30 or 40 seconds, then runs to completion. I use the latest version of
HJT, but the last one acted the same.
Interestingly, deleting all the URL's from the trusted zone made no
difference.
Before running a scan, try closing all windows and programs (using C-A-D)
except for Explorer and Systray, to see if this speeds things up.
