Stolen laptop

I had my room broken into on Christmas Day and the thief took my Dell laptop,  I have tried contacting Dell without success,  I wanted to get the serial number and model number of the machine from them to give to the police. Does anyone know how I can do this???

This is not a virus/spyware matter.

Are you saying you have no record of your model/serial # ?

I have contacted a Dell Liaison, Dell-RobertP, to see if he can assist you here.

Hi Ray808,

Thanks for posting.  Without the serial number, order number, or customer number, we would be unable to look anything up.  If you have the information, then contact me privately.

Good day Robert,

 

I saw a thread in which you were offering help to another user. I thought maybe you can help me too. 

My laptop was stolen on the 28 May 2022. I was hopeful the Police would get some leads and eventually recover the machine but to no avail.
It is a Dell Precision 3520, i7 with serial number <personal info removed>
The windows locate my device was active and was once registered to Prey tracking software but stopped linking in 2018.
 
Is there any way you can help locate the machine? 
 
Your assistance is highly appreciated.

How to Report a Dell System Lost or Stolen

And never post any of your personal info, including your Service Tag and Express Service Code, in an open forum like this.
