Suspected malware/virus?... MSNMGR + MSSMSGS + winmpa32.rom et al

Re-enable those entries in msconfig and rerun Hijackthis and post a fresh Hijackthis log.

Thanks for the speedy assistance.  Okay I re-enabled the 2 entries in the startup tab of msconfig.  Upon bootup, here is the error message:

"There was a problem starting winmpa32.rom  The specified module could not be found."  Below is the HiJackThis log:

One more quick question: With this new Dell PC, because they don't ship with the Windows 7 disk anymore, the system says to burn a factory copy DVD.  I did that already while the odd malware above was resident on the computer.  Now that this is removed, should I re-burn another backup copy?  In other words, is that malware line of code still in the burned DVD etc?

That shouldn't be necessary. The image DVD should only contain files required to load the OS. The entries removed would not be in that load.
