Trying to install a Trend Micro anti-virus program
I have been trying to install this anti-virus program, but I keep getting the following message:
"The Windows Installer Service could not be accessed. This can occur if you are running Windows in safe mode, or if the Windows installer is not correctly installed."
I have tried several thing that the support for Trend says and Microsoft. I know the installer is started and I downloaded an update for the installer.
Does anyone have suggestions on what I can try next?

I did, but I have Windows Vista 64-bit and that article did not help me.

You should be able to download Trend Micro Vista 64-bit from here:

MickeyFan :
I'm not sure what to say. Trend Micro has a good rep as an online backup scanner, but I've never trialed it as an AV. I note it has no user-to-user support forum, and it does not participate in independent testing by AV-Comparatives nor VB100, the two websites I most trust when it comes to AV testing.
To be honest, I think there are better AVs, both paid and free, to be had out there.
