computer slow and locks up
I have had this computer for a while and have never really been happy with the speed. I dont know a lot about them. Any way its getting worse. My explorer locks ups. It won't close and sometimes i have to shut power off and restart. It's also very slow. I was wonder if anyone had an idea why. virus, worm whatever. i have no idea.

I would clear out your cache, cookies and temp internet files. Also download a spyware program, scan your hd and remove all critical objects. This will improve the comps performance. While your at it, defragment your hd.
