problem with mcafee

i have a problem with my mcafee privacy service. once i turn my computer off the settings i have set (i.e  what to block accepting cookies  etc.) change back and its very annoying. ive tried reinstalling mcafee and all but nothing helps. any ideas?

Well, I am not a McAfee expert, but I'll take a shot at it.

Do you delete all of your cookies when you exit Internet Explorer, or use a program such as Window Washer?
 
McAfee probably stores those settings in a cookie.  (I haven't used McAfee for several years, so I'm not sure about this).  If this is the case, you will have to find that particular cookie it make sure it is not deleted when you exit Internet Explorer.
