Vostro 3470 DT, are there any video cards?
I am looking to add a video card to this computer if possible. It would appear that it needs a low profile card and low profile bracket. PCIEx16 as well. I have upgraded the RAM to 12GB in mine for some performance gains, but would like to get a card that does not share RAM and will increase my overall performance. Also, does anyone know if the CPU is soldered in to the motherboard...could it one day be upgraded?

This one is listed in the manual as a video card that could have been ordered during the purchase--
NVIDIA GeForce GT 710 --- https://www.geforce.com/hardware/desktop-gpus/geforce-gt-710
It is reasonably priced at about $45.
Manual here-- https://www.dell.com/support/home/us/en/04/product-support/product/vostro-3470-desktop/manuals

This is an itty bitty model.
I would Recommend a GT1030
PNY VCGGT10302PB

Dell A9763687

No that requires too much power. 75W video cards are not supported.

I can confirm that the Nvidia Quadro P400 (low profile) works well in the 3470. I selected the P400 over the GT1030 because the P400 supports hardware accelerated video encoding/decoding (NVENC).

I have installed GeForce GT 710 2048 MB DDR3 low-profile into Vostro 3470 (with Argus TFX 350 power suply) and it turned eventually out and default internal GPU is better than external if add +8GB RAM.
I suggest to add RAM into Vostro 3470 and it would probably be maximum setup for this small desktop.
