Thank you Jesse L. Your infomation is really helpful, just one more thing, why my memory speed currently is 2400Mhz, but ur infomation says 1600Mhz. I've never done any upgrades since i bought it from the store.

Thanks for your answer.

With this, it is practically impossible to upgrade my RAM to up to 12 or 16gb?

I use a Vostro 15-3568 with core i5 and 4gb of RAM

@DELL-Jesse L

Your information is inaccurate and needs to be edited.

"This Laptop supports 4GB to 8GB, 1600MHz DDR3L SoDIMM (1 slot)"

(DDR3L and 1 slot is incorrect)

The 3568 can be upgraded to 16GB and possible 32GB ???

@vikmoks

You would see even better performance with "Matching" memory 2x8GB

Best regards,

Yes there are lots of discrepancies in the user manual.

I had consulted to Dell phone team over this, years ago when I brought my 3568.

They escalated & everything and finally told that max supported RAM is 16 GB per slot.

So total 16+16=32 GB.

Certain processors of this laptop cannot use full 2400 MHz DDR4 speed & instead they set speed at 2133 MHz. You can check that on ark.intel.com & enter your processor model# (mine is Pentium 4415U)
