My Dell Vostro is not charging, and became incredibly slow in the matter of 24 hours... I was not even using it.

So I was in a hotel for a few days, and I haven't used my Vostro (14-inch) in about a day. Next time I turn it on, it is so slow to the point where I can't open Google, it won't charge, even when plugged in, and the sound is grainy. What is going on someone please help me! It is not like this is an old computer, I got it about 8 or 9 months ago. That shouldn't be the problem...
