Vostro 3268, adding second SSD
Hi!
I have the Dell Vostro 3268 and there is already an SSD installed. I want to add another SSD (2.5") but I'm quite sure if it's supported. There is a free SATA port available on the motherboard but I can't find a way to connect the power cable to the new SSD disk. The power cable of the DVD Drive has a different port from the SSD, actually it's smaller. So, how can I add the second SSD on my machine?

The service manual page 44 only shows one SATA HDD and one M.2/PCIe SSD. It sounds like you are saying that the 180w PSU doesn't have the required power leads to accommodate an additional SATA SSD? For my notes, send me via Private Message the PC service tag number.

The 3268 uses a tiny power supply. So adding a drive is not really an option. The motherboard only has 2 sata connections. You could add a sata drive to the optical bay with an adapter.

Not sure if the drive is 9.5mm or 12mm
