Vostro 460 can't get past Dell splash screen after Quadro P600 installed

I am trying to install a Nvidia Quadro P600 into a Vostro 460 for AutoCAD work.

When I boot up it gets to the Dell logo splash screen where the  F2 and F12 options are and it won't go any further.

I can press the F2 or F12 buttons and they highlight but then freeze.

The video card I am coming from is a Nvdia Geforce GTS 240. When I reinstall this card, everything works.
