I purchase Dell Vostro 15 3568 in 2017. Now i want to upgrade the storage device i.e from HDD to SSD. But i am confused which SSD is better. I choose Samsung 860 EVO 1Tb but on dell owner manual it says that M.2 SSD 256 GB, 128 GB specification. So i am confused that it only support SSD upto 256GB or it can be upgraded upto 1TB.
I just want to clear the doubt.
Solved! Go to Solution.
It will take any 2.5" M.2 2280 SATA SSD (but not NVMe). It's not limited to 256 G -- that's simply the largest one Dell supplied.
We never tested a SSD in the WLAN card slot.
512GB is the largest SATA3/M.2 SSD listed on the Dell Vostro 15 3568 parts page.
- H7P9P Hynix SC311
- R81KT Intel Pro 5450
- 01D79 Liteon CV3
- 9WK01 Liteon CV8
- PHY2P Micron 1100
- 4724F, 8P1GH Samsung PM871B
- 65XJ9 Sandisk X600
- TTGHY Toshiba SG6
All of the those SATA3/M.2 SSD look like this =

I have seen the motherboard, there's no M.2 slot for SSD.
The M.2 slot is for Wifi & will not fit ssd.
Still on user manual I have seen they say M.2, and on Dell shop some M.2 ssd do list as compatible with Vostro 15-3568
@DELL-Chris M could you please clarify this on the post itself?
He might have to resort to hybrid hdd (sshd) & such.
May be comment with compatible part numbers of drives compatible for this model?
