SDS slower than the rest, after reboot re-build/re-balance finishes
Hello,
We are running the following environment with the latest SCALEIO version
Exact same hardware all 4 nodes, same BIOS, FW, and drivers
Node 1
Baremetal Centos 7
MDM01
SDS01
2 x SSDs dedicated to SDS
Node 2
Baremetal Centos 7
MDM02
SDS02
2 x SSDs dedicated to SDS
Node 3
Baremetal Centos 7
TB01
SDS03
2 x SSDs dedicated to SDS
Node 4
Baremetal Windows 2012 R2 Standard
SDS04
2 x SSDs dedicated to SDS
SDC mapping a shared volume from the ScaleIO SSD pool
We enable a long running workload on the shared ScaleIO volume
We reboot any SDS
The SDS comes back up, it finishes the re-build/re-balance but performance on THAT SDS is reduced by 50% approximately
No mater what SDS, or the order of reboot, the slowness follows the SDS being rebooted
In the image attached you can see Node 2 SDS being slower than the rest of the SDSs, that behavior after the reboot.
We applied the ScaleIO performance tuning guide recommendations to all 4 nodes
What can be causing this, what other things should we look at?
Were you able to reproduce this?
Thank you!

So you are using ScaleIO 1.32.2 downloaded from the Community? Do you have your firewall turned on or off? Have you checked your event logs to see what is listed?

Wha is the size of each SSD, what is the size of the volume?
