ScaleIO application consistent snapshots

Hi experts,

is there a way to create application consistent vs. crash consistent snapshots with ScaleIO, specifically for vSphere and Hyper-V? I can't find anything in the documentations, only explanations on consistency groups, but that is not mentioning anything about application integration.
