VxRail Management vmkernal and portgroup purpose

our VxRail environments were set up before my arrival and I am trying to find out what the VxRail Management Port Group and VMkernel adapter are actually used for. 4 of them are not getting DHCP address so they are obviously not affecting anything because they don't have an IP address but what are they used for?

This is not the Management Network Port Group I am referring to either. Those are in place and are working as expected.
