Can I do a clean install of Windows 10 Pro on a Dell machine that came with 7 Pro?
I don't have the serial number for windows, but will Win 10 Pro pick it up from the bios chip on the motherboard if I do a clean install?
Dell optiplex, forgot which model, but its a new small tower i5. 8GB ram

You can first do an "in-place" install, no serial number or key needed. Your computer will get a "digital entitlement" for Windows 10. Afterwards, you can do a clean install.
