Dell Inspiron 15R 7520 SE update

hi, i am considering to update my inspiron 15R SE laptop from windows 7 to windows 10.

The problem is the drivers. Using my service tag Dell says that my laptop is testing and confirms that i can upgrade but at the drivers section it has only 3 kind of drivers, video, network and mouse.

what about the other drivers? usb 3? chipset? audio? card reader?

Also the video drivers says "for amd 7670m/8730m" my laptops has 7730m.

Will i have any problems if i upgrade? Will dell launch drivers for the other compoments?

Chipset, USB 3 and Audio should be inbuilt or automatically obtained via Windows Update.

I'm not sure about the 7730m. We will only know if someone tries Windows 10 and the 7670m/8730m driver.

Yeah I have the Inspiron 15R SE and upgraded from windows 8.1 to 10 and installed the drivers for the AMD 7730M GPU. The drivers function very well.

Now my thing is I am trying to overclock using msi afterburner, yet I cannot.

Strange... i have done a clean install for Windows 10 and i get the message "thread stuck in device driver" on my Ati Radeon HD 7730M. This happend with the release of Windows 8.1 as well...

When will there be a solution for this device on Windows 10 it's very annoying...

i m having issues in installing wifi driver on win 10 64 bit. installation fails with error code 118, can someone help.

The current driver is ***, it drops like 30 times in a minute. I really need the correct driver from dell installed.

The driver name doesnt include 7730m... but the description does include 7730m... so you may go ahead and give it a try. But i have upgraded to win10 and am stuck with the THREAD STUCK IN DEVICE DRIVER  BSOD problem. I would suggest you create a restore disk of win8.1 before you upgrade to win 10.

Having the same problem, reported to amd with video and description. I suggest you do the same so we can hope to get that covered for the next driver update amd rolls out.

Hello,

I have the same laptop and I am running windows 10 with all drivers. The windows will detect and install all drivers for you but not immediately after the install. They are installed automatically a few minutes after the windows is started for the first time and may require several reboots.

The only driver that you will need to install manually is the driver for the Ati Radeon video card. These drivers are released from Ati.

After the windows have finished with the installation of the drivers which is a background process(you can see which drivers are installed from the device manager) go to the Ati website http://support.amd.com/en-us/download
