I opened 'C:\Program Files\Synaptics\SynTP\DellTpad.exe' anything I click on i get an ''TouchPad Control Panel application has stopped working" error

I'm having the same problem with Inspiron 15 5547. I'm using TochPad Driver version 19.0.4.0 as recommended on Dell Driver Site for 5547 model and Windows 10 64 bit.

Just correcting, driver version is 19.0.9.4

I have the same problem and would like an answer from Dell about that.

Same here.  I've wasted about 12 hours so far on this issue.  uninstalling drivers, re-installing drivers, rebooting a million times :(  ARGGG!

Same problem with my machine as well.

I use Inspiron 5548 after upgrading to Windows 10 64 bit I get this issue.

Along with this I also face Wireless Adaptor disconnection issue.

Are you guys facing them too???

This is pathetic, Still Touchpad drivers not available in dell drivers page of 5548.

Total screwed up with wireless......

I have the ultimate and permanent solution for the problem. Touchpad usually do not work if your system is upgrades and this is because your system changes its boot option to legacy. Touchpad only works on UFEI boot. Usually there are two partition system called MBR and GPT , GPT support UFEI and MBR support Legacy boot. To solve the problem 1. change the partition of your computer from MBR to GPT using the software. 2. go to bias and disable legacy boot and enable UFEI boot. For the more information visit other videos on You tube on above description. -thank you.
