Headset microphone not being used

I’m having an issue all of a sudden where when I plug in my headset into my laptop (Dell G7 15) the pop up no longer shows when it would say “On-Ear, Over-Ear, Headphone, Headset”. I not longer can clinch to use it as a headset. Furthermore; Realtek HD Audio Manager is no long on my laptop and I have uninstalled it. If anyone had a solution to this issue please let me know.
