Inspiron 3670, streaming pictures to my TV

I have an Inspiron 3670/ windows 10 computer. I cannot stream my pictures to my TV. My Sony Blu-Ray DVD player does connect wirelessly to my computer. I am able to stream music and videos. But, when I attempt to stream pictures from a folder, I get a message: "Cannot communicate with server. Try again later". My media streaming options were either set to default settings or the custom settings: "Make all of the media in my library available to this device - All ratings".

This is not correct.

Windows PC's are not photostream servers

Chromecast requires HDMI adapter and Chrome browser.

So you need ROKU or FIRE or Chromecast etc.

Your computer is not a streaming server.

Blueray AVC Video is HDCP protected so you would not be watching blueray via streaming in a Browser.

My Take on this is that it costs the same to get an OEM Copy of CYBERLINK POWER DVD with a USB Drive as it does to get the Retail Copy of the software alone.
