Installed 3rd party editing software, hacked?

I was on my dell laptop looking for editing software and I downloaded one now my computer is in responsive stuck on the slide down to shut down screen the mouse can move and when u rich I see the mark on the pc indicating that it recognises it but won’t change screen, have I been hacked?
