Sound problem
I have an Optiplex 760 that runs windows, and what happened was everything was going fine until I updated my computer to version 1706, and BOOM my sound doesn't work it says it's not plugged in when it is, and it also says when I hover over the sound icon "No speakers or headphones are plugged in." I really need help! I'm getting frustrated about this.

Although it may work, this model is not supported for Win 10 by Dell. Thus you probably only have the generic, basic function, Windows installed High Definition Audio driver. But, whatever driver has worked may or may not work with the Creator's Upgrade.
First thing to do is go to the Device Manager, Sound, Video and Game Controllers section. RIGHT click to highlight your sound device (it may be showing an error). Then LEFT click "Uninstall" but DO NOT uninstall the drivers. Then restart the PC and when Windows starts it should detect and reinstall the sound (refresh operation). This fixes a lot of driver device problems and if lucky will fix yours. Check the Device Manager, Sound, Video and Game Controllers section again to see if it is now show "working OK".
For example, this is my Device Manager, sound section. I have Realtek for PC sound. Disregard the MOTU and X-Touch, they are devices for my recording studio.
Please post back on whether this fixed it or if we need to look for other possible fixes.
