WILL A SYSTEM RESTORE IN WIN 8.1 BEFORE WIN 10 DOWNLOAD

I'm still in Win 8.1 and want to try a system restore BEFORE I downloaded Win 10 to see if that will remove the win 10 download, I haven't updated yet and do not want to now, Thanks
