Win 10 update KB4340917 (7/24) / active pen driver High CPU
I just finished the install of the referenced update on my XPS 13 9365 with which I use an Active Pen. After the update had completed and the system rebooted, the CPU started running at very high speeds and 100 % utilization.
The primary cause of the processor usage was a driver called ISD_Tablet.exe which is, I believe, part of the Wacom driver for the Active Pen.
This is mainly a heads up for the problem, since I ended the driver task and then rebooted and things seem to have returned to normal.
I have seen high CPU usage before, but this lasted long enough to get my attention and I was surprised a Pen driver was involved, somehow.
