Error after replacing HDD with SSD

Hello all

I'm trying to install factory defaults with a brand new SSD but I'm getting the following error:

Error 0x4001001300001002

If the problem persists, please contact Dell support.

I tried using Dell DVDs and it won't read disc #2 (burned it 3 times already) so I got a flashdrive and was using it when it gave me the above error. Run diags, no issues found.

Anyone knows how to fix this?

Much appreciated!

Hi Mggonzalez,

Thank you for writing to us!

We would need a few details from you ,

If it is NVME SSD and the chipset that is being used is Skylake ?

Also provide us with the service tag to the system via private message.

Thanks

Robin

From here:

Error  0x4001001300001002 means the encrypted Recovery partition was Cloned and is not going to factory restore because the cloning did not get readable data.

Its time for you to Clean Install Windows 10 TH2:

Thanks Philip

I really do not wish to install Windows 10. Is there any way to decrypt the Recovery partition?
