HATE Windows 8
I had to purchase a new computer because my older one had crashed. I have been purchasing Dell computers for many years now. The new one came with Windows 8. I cannot express to you how much I HATE this program. If the purchase had been made at a time other than around Christmas and I had the time to work with it, I would have returned it. Now the 30 days is up. I do not recommend Windows 8 to anyone!

Hi Wregle,
You have two options. One is to make the Windows 8 desktop work like Windows 7 works. Many people find installing a third-party utility to add a start button is a great solution. The second option would be to downgrade to Windows 7.
Please see this: Windows 8 downgrade rights

Miss the start button, however, boot time and once you get used to the keyboard shortcuts, it's much better than windows 7. Takes time to get used to it. And I don't a even use the metro UI...

Start 8 is not free but it helps. Then get Firefox for Desktop and Java and Flash etc.

Windows 8 is awesome. I think that people have a hard time with change. You can't stay with windows 7 forever so you might as well get used to it.

Well worth the $5, in my opinion.

I have a couple of copies, but I think I'll stay with 7 as long as I can.
