Password case is always sensitive. You have not mentioned what sort of password you forgot? Is it related to the dell product password or OS password?
By supposing both of these scenarios, if you forgot dell's password, you need to insert a recovery USB key in many cases and need to search which product you are using and what you can do to restore it because the product name is missing as well.
If you forgot OS or any folder password, you also need to complete the setup of restoring them. If you are not able to resolve the OS password, you may need to delete and reinstall OS. This may lose your data placed OS disk. For folder-related locked passwords, you need to search for the software you used to lock and how you can restore them.
