Windows 8 OS Reinstall After HDD Crash
Hello.
I own a DELL 15R 5520. My hard drive crashed and was unrecoverable. In a pinch, I went and bought a Transcend SSD to replace it. How do I go about reinstalling Windows 8 with no backups? I was told that the Windows 8 product key is embedded in the hardware.
Is it possible to get a DVD without product keys so that I can install my Windows 8.0, again?
Thanks.
Alfred

Do not use a DVD, it will not boot on a UEFI BIOS with SecureBoot. You need to use a 8 GB FAT32 formatted USB Flash Drive.
Do not Reinstall Windows 8, it is obsolete. Instead Download Windows 8.1 with Update 1.
Follow my instructions here, be careful regarding Edition, only the correct Edition will automatically input your UEFI BIOS Embedded System Locked Preinstallation Key:
