15z Windows 8.1 Fresh Install {moved from laptop General Hardware Forum}
I was wondering if there is anything tricky about doing a fresh install of Windows 8.1 on a 15z 5523? It has the 32 GB SSD and 500 GB HDD. Will the installation automatically configure the use of the SSD for rapid start? Or do you install Windows to the SSD ?

You do not want to install Windows to the SSD if it is only 32 GB. For more details about the Windows install see my Windows Reinstallation Guide/A Clean Install of Windows 8.1:

This will guide you through the install step by step and I updated it 2 days to incorporate information to address the question you just asked.
