619-ALWX : Windows 7 Professional (64Bit Windows 10 License)

Hey there!

can someone tell me what the following part number indicates?

619-ALWX : Windows 7 Professional (64Bit Windows 10 License, Microsoft Volume License)

Win7 is preinstalled. As far as I can see there is no Win7 Sticker on my machine but a Win 10 Pro Sticker. Does this mean that Win7 and Win10 use the same license?

Thanks

Windows 10 Pro has Downgrade Rights to Windows 7 Pro. The ACPI Tables in the UEFI BIOS contain a MSDM for Windows 10 Pro (with 25 digit unique product key) and a SLIC 2.1 for Windows 7 OEM SLP. More details here:

I suspect that you have a Windows 10 license with downgrade rights for Windows 7
