BSOD, NETWSW00.sys

Thank you in advanced for reading this post.

I have a Dell Precision M6500.  Windows 7 64 Bit Pro. I have been getting the BSOD on this computer for a couple days now that I restored Windows on it. The BSOD happens when on WIFI which Im guessing is causing this issue. The BSOD is telling me Driver IRQL Not Less or Equal. The Driver causing this issue is NETWSW00.sys. I have uninstalled the driver through device manager, reinstalled it. Reinstalled Intel Chipset drivers. Restored Windows to a previous version.

If anyone else has any suggestions I would appreciate them.

Thanks!

Hi Johnathon Nehls,

Request you to use the below link and download BIOS, chipset and WI-FI drivers in the given sequence:

http://dell.to/17k1ibw BIOS

http://dell.to/18mIFbC  Chipset

http://dell.to/ZaQuel  Input tag, select operating system and download Wi-Fi drivers based on Wi-Fi card you have.

If the issue still exists, try reseating the WI-FI card by using the manual given below:

If you have any other questions do reply to the same thread.

Not sure if a solution was found yet, but it seems kind of long for there not to have been. If you are still experiencing the issue, try updating the Intel drivers for the card in your Dell. The Dell drivers do not help.

I tested on other Dell Latitude E6430s and got the same bluescreen error.  Reinstalling the drivers from Dell, installing optional components, adjusting the security to enable FIPS, and other items did not resolve the issue.

The fix is to download newer drivers from Intel’s website.  The ones on Dell’s site are multiple versions behind.
