CAUTION! - Reloading Media Direct 3.5

I just bought a used XPS 1710 laptop with all of the original software cd's that came with it. It currently has Vista Ultimate 32 bit loaded but the Media Direct is not. I was going to put the cd in until I read the CAUTION statment that said it will erase my hard drive. Does anyone know if that is the case? I do have the Vista back up Cd but that seems kinda odd that a medai player software would have to erase the hard drive.

Yes if media direct has never been installed then yes it will delete the entire drive and start the partitioning of media direct, and leave the 2 remaining for the OS disk install.
