Cannot uninstall Dell Support Center 2.0

I have installed Dell Support Center 2.0 on a Dell Inspiron 530 running Windows Vista Home Premium. I want to uninstall this program but each time I try to uninstall it (using the uninstall section in Control Panel) I receive the message that the path " Profiles\All Users\Application Data\SupportSoft\DellSupportCenter\SYSTEM\Data\" is not available (the message is actually in Dutch although I am running the English version of Vista). Such a path indeed does not exist but this error prevents me from uninstalling the program.

Does anybody have a solution for this? I have already tried to reinstall Dell Support Center but that doesn't help.

Do you have the Dell Support icon on the lower right corner when uninstalling??? Maybe is on use and that's why is not letting you uninstall it.

If you have the icon, right click on it and click on exti (not sure if it has the option to exit, quict, close...)

If that doesn't help, check on MSCONFIG for the dellsupport startup and disable it. and try again.

I tried that, doesn't make any difference.

What about the Windows Installer CleanUp Utility It has helped me to uninstall a lot of unwanted software from my computer...

This is interesting. I used the Windows Installer Cleanup Utility to uninstall Dell Support Center. The program seemed to run fine but the Support Center was not uninstalled. However, and now the mystery begins, while the program was initially not informative with mostly blank pages (that was the reason why I wanted to uninstall it), now, after the uninstall using the Installer Cleanup Utility, the program shows a lot more information that is at least informative if not useful. Hence, I decided to leave it as it now is since this is probably how the program was intended to work.

It is of course still a mystery why it didn't show the information initially but I am satisfied with the current situation.

Thanks for the suggestion.

That was not the purpose, but at least it is working.
