Corel Photo Album 6 - a scam?

Are Corel operating some kind of scam with Photo Album 6?

My new Dell laptop came with a trial copy installed, which nagged me every time I opened a photo.  For the sake of 18 quid I thought I'd dowload the full version to shut it up.

After two dowloads and three installations it still doesn't work but crashes whenever I try to do something as unexpected as open a photo!  The corel support site appears to be either a missing web-page, or a lot of automated responses none of which tell me how to get my money back.  At least I haven't found one yet and I'm tired of trying.

Has anyone else had trouble with Photo Album?  And did they ever succeed in getting a refund?

Corel has its own help forums--try the one for Photo Album 6, they might have some ideas. I doubt you can get your money back. When my trial version was up, I got the full version but I bought the actual CD on sale because I think it's better to have the CD than a downloaded file. I haven't had any problems with the program.

Thanks for the suggestion Ken, but like I said, the link I had to the Corel support site just gave an unavailable page error, and the only other 'support' I could find was an unhelpful robot.  I really am begining to think Corel have ripped me off.  My opinion of Dell has also taken a knock for putting the thing on my laptop in the first place.

Go to this link: http://support.corel.com/scripts/rightnow.cfg/php.exe/enduser/std_adp.php?p_faqid=754345
Scroll down toward bottom of page until you see Photo Album 6, and click on that link. This should take you to the newsgroup.
