GCYLON,

Unfortunately, this system has not be tested or verified for Windows 10 by Dell. No Windows 10 drivers were created for the computer.

I have an XPS 15 L502X purchased August 2011 and it now shows the Win 10 upgrade option.

Am I right in thinking that not only is it not possible to upgrade to Win 10 now, but I will never be able to do so?

Surely Dell will do the honorable thing for customers who bought one of their more expensive (£1600) laptops and get it Win 10 ready?

Dell won't support it as all these systems are out of warranty. Although unsupported by Dell I've got far older models even from 2007 to work fine with Windows 10 TH2.

Windows 10 has a stronger native driver base than previous Windows versions. It should have the drivers for most components inbuilt or obtain them automatically from Windows Update... Otherwise you can use the Windows 8 drivers.

Make sure you have UEFI BIOS revision A12 installed before clean installing Windows 10 TH2:
