Dell Digital Delivery cannot connect to the internet
I have recently bought a Dell inspiron 15 7560 . I am trying to reinstall mcafee antivirus that came along with it . But it seems that dell digital delivery is not able to connect to the internet. My internet is working fine and I have also tried reinstall the digital delivery software but none seem to work for me . I am already using the latest version of the software.

Having been unable to find a solution on any forum, and this being the top search result, I thought it would be good to post my solution here.
The version of Dell Digital Delivery (DDD) I had installed was 3.1. I downloaded Support Assist and DDDfixit, which got me DDD v.3.3. This continued to give me the "has not been able to connect to the internet" error. I then found the Dell drivers and download page, which gave me DDD v.3.5. After uninstalling, reinstalling, rebooting, each time, I still got the error.
Finally, I went to the Product Support page (https://www.dell.com/support/home/us/en/04/?app=products), detected my machine, selected the "Drivers and Downloads" tab, selected the arrow to expand the DDD box, selected "View full driver details" , and selected "Versions", and found there was another version, DDD 3.5.2013.0, A09.
Downloaded, uninstalled and reinstalled, and voila, finally I was able to open and use DDD.

There are version 4 releases in 2019 Version 4.0.41.0, A15
This package is only for systems running Windows 10 OS versions 17134 and above. To find the version of your operating system, tap the Windows key, type "winver" in the Start menu and press Enter. If you have an OS version below 17134, you will need to download and install the Windows 7 version (3.5).
