Dell Inspiron 1440 Notebook System Software Disc

Im wondering, i bought a new dell inspiron 1440, i've noticed that the disc included inside the box labeled drivers and utilities dont have a Notebook System software.

If i wanted to reformat my hard drive manually, not using recovery partition, is it ok not to install the Notebook System Software? Because im planning to intall my new OS windows 7, and do a custome or clean installation. Do i need to install that Notebbok system software? Thanks.

sdlumbang,

Yes, you can format the drive and reinstall. There is no Notebook software for this computer. Make sure you install the chipset driver before installing any other drivers.

sdlumbang,

Thank you for using the Dell Community Forum.

It doesnt look like there is are any downloads for the Notebook System Software for the Inspiron 1440. You should be good to go.
