Dell Inspiron N7110 Restore

Hi I bought a dell inspiron n7110 on eBay and they had upgraded it to windows 10 but when i look in the system management it showed a recovery 19GB partition so is that the restore partition? and it has windows .old folder in the hard drive so should i try to revert back to windows 7 and then try the recovery partition or can i do it from windows 10. any help would be gratefully appreciated.

Hi,

Thank you for writing to the Dell Community Forum.

The recovery partition is the Dell Factory Image partition which would have the factory image of the Windows operating system, drivers & software the system was originally shipped with. Below links provide you more info on this:

You will also be able to go back to the previous Windows from within Windows 10 if it was an upgrade and not a clean installation. The Windows .old folder contains the files of the previous Windows. The link below guides on how to revert back to the previous Windows:

Note that in addition to all that has been written, the N7110 is not tested by Dell for Windows 10 compatibility.
