Dell Inspiron, running Windows 7, will not 'shut down'.
This has been doing this for several days now. I have to pull ot the battery each time I want to shut it down or it will drain my battery. does anyone know what is causing this and how to correct? thanks, Joy

OK --- I read a posting about deleting the Windows Live programs, which I did, and now my Dell Inspirion will Shut Down. But not sure if I can keep the Windows Live off of the computer. why would these cause the Shut Down problem?

I have the same problem, only it will not sign-out. It is a Dell INSPIRON
