Dell(McAfee) Security Center problem

Call Dell.

Or reinstall McAfee.

I never heard removing a Firewall application messing up an internet connection, but I suppose it's possible.

Don't stay on the Internet if you are disabling or uninstalling your firewall even for just a few minutes.  Disconnect your Internet connection if you are going to be without a firewall.  It takes only minutes before you are likely to get some sort of malware on your computer if you have no firewall.
