Dell Support Alert Tray Icon - how remove?
The above icon/program loads at startup in my new Dell 8400. I have a concern in that it always loads last and my Norton Anitvirus is "X" ed out until it finally loads (assume this means that I have no auto Virus protection until it finishes loading?).
I would still like to access this program/info manually but would like to eliminate it from auto loading at startup everytime.
I looked at all the Dell programs and cannot find an option to disable/enable this startup feature.
Any ideas or directions (specific) would be much appreciated.
Thanks

Dell Support has never worked properly. If you remove it through Add or Remove Programs you can get rid of the Support Alert icon and it's doubtful that you'll miss the program.

Denny, thx for the reply.
So this tray Icon is part of the Dell Support program? When I look in my Add/Remove programs area the only thing Dell that is close is Dell Support. Is that the one?
Does this program provide anything that can not be obtained via the Dell Website?
Thanks again for a response.
