Internet Explorer Script error. Driving me CRAZY!!!!!

Hi everyone.  For the last month everytime i get on the internet, every few minutes a window pops up that says internet explorer script error, continue running scripts on this page?  i have tried adware and spyware finders, virus scanners, i even went into my internet options and turned off the notify me when an error occurs and disabled the script debugging and this problem still persists.  Can anyone help me, it would be greatly appreciated.

That might be caused by certain sites in your "Trusted" zone.

I used to have that problem on certain websites, and that's why I tried Firebird (Now it's called Firefox).

But it seems after I installed XP SP2, I rarely get those script errors anymore.

So, check for sites in your "trusted" zone, use a different web browser (Firefox, Opera, Netscape, etc) and/or install SP2, if it isn't already installed.

Edit: Scan for spyware and viruses. They could cause odd behaviors.

Install SP2 (have you?). If IE will not do it, you could download and run Maxthon. I also use Firefox and the current release is version 1.5

Yes, especially the critical updates. Very important to install all of those.

But you don't need ALL of the "optional" (non-critical) updates. Just the ones you want. :)

Glad I/we was able to help.

But realize that the wysiwyg editor won't work with any non-IE based browser when using the Dell, or MSN forums. That's because they are only IE friendly.

But that's a small price to pay to get rid of the stupid script error pop-ups.
