Internet Explorer script error
I'm getting an internet explorer script error when i try to schedule mcafee virus scans:
line : 949
char : 5
Error : The data area passed to a system call is too small
Code : 0
URL : mcp://c:\PROGRA~1\mcafee.com\vso\vsoui.dll::mgavprop.htm
I have checked script debugging and unchecked notify scripts in IE but it has made no difference. I serarched online and hundreds of sites came up declaring that script error problems were solved by using registry fix & debugging programs. Obviously all these sites are trying to sell you a product. So i went ahead and tried Windows Registry Repair Pro. I's made no difference.
Any ideas?

Ok, I've fixed the problem. Apparently it's a windows problem. Task scheduler has only a limited buffer and if you have a few user accounts it can't cope with it. None of the scheduled tasks had been running. So the fix for now is that you have to delete some or all of the scheduled tasks and wait 15 minutes. Microsoft do not have a hotfix for it yet for SP2. They say wait for the next service pack!!
Thanks for pointing me in the right direction.
